Project

Outpatient center with residential facilities

This project is an example of a modern architectural approach to creating public infrastructure in rural areas, where functionality, simplicity, and humanity are combined in one compact building. The project was developed in accordance with state requirements for primary healthcare facilities and the needs of the medical staff themselves.

Architectural idea

The building features a distinctive yet restrained architectural image that conveys trust and openness. Its modern form with a gable roof combined with large panoramic glazing creates a warm and welcoming character. The roof and facade inserts are made of combined materials: metal and mineral panels in neutral colors that emphasize the clarity of the structure. The entrance area and the observation window in the waiting area are highlighted but do not dominate.

A special feature of the project is the “second light” in the waiting area and lounge — the double-height space under the sloped roof creates a sense of openness and lightness.

Functional structure

The building is conditionally divided into two zones:

  • Public zone (front part) — a clinic for one physician. It includes:
    • a reception area with a waiting room;
    • a doctor’s office;
    • a treatment room;
    • a restroom for patients;
    • a medication storage room;
    • a separate entrance and an outdoor waiting area under a canopy.
  • Private zone (rear part) — the doctor’s residence. It includes:
    • a living room, kitchen, and bedroom;
    • a bathroom and utility rooms;
    • access to a private terrace;
    • a fenced green yard ensuring separation from the public area.

Technical Specifications

  • Number of floors: single-story building;
  • Dimensions: approximately 12 × 21 m (in axes);

Spatial Ideology

The clinic center is not just a building, but a service space designed to fit seamlessly into the daily rhythm of rural life. Simplicity, convenience, and friendliness are the foundation of both the architectural and functional approach. Everything is aimed at fostering a fast, comfortable, and “warm” connection between the patient and healthcare in a village setting.
